    Description

In 1987, Tim Adams launched his own label, Tim Adams Wines, where he is still Chief Winemaker today. He is one of the wineries who established the Clare Valley as one of Australia’s premier wine regions. Deep red colour with a good purple tint. The bouquet is quite pepperminty, fresh and bright, together with a dark-berry aroma and flavour. It's full-bodied and the tannins are firm and pervasive. The finish is clean and bright and fresh, the palate well-balanced and solidly structured. Just reaching its best time for drinking now!
Rated 94/100 by James Halliday and 93/100 by The Wine Front.

    Variety Description

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognised red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climate. Cabernet Sauvignon became internationally recognised through its prominence in Bordeaux wines where it is often blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The classic profile of Cabernet Sauvignon tends to be full-bodied wines with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to the wine's ageing potential.

    Malbec

Malbec is a purple grape variety used in making red wine. The grapes tend to have an inky dark color and robust tannins, and are known as one of the six grapes allowed in the blend of red Bordeaux wine. The Malbec grape is a thin-skinned grape and needs more sun and heat than either Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot to mature.

    Country Description

    Australia

Wine is produced in every state, with more than 60 designated wine regions however Australia's wine regions are mainly in the southern, cooler parts of the country, with vineyards located in South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Western Australia, Tasmania and Queensland. The major grape varieties are predominantly Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, Semillon, Pinot noir, Riesling, and Sauvignon blanc. Some of the more famus wine areas include Barossa Valley, Coonawarra, Clare Valley, Hunter Valley and Margret River.

    Region Description

    South Australia

The South Australian wine industry is responsible for more than half the production of all Australian wine. South Australia has a vast diversity in geography and climate which allows the state to be able to produce a range of grape varieties-from the cool climate Riesling variety in the Clare Valley to the big, full bodied Shiraz wines of the Barossa Valley. Some of Australia's best-known wines like Penfolds Grange, Jacob's Creek, Yalumba and Henschke Hill of Grace are produced here, as well as many of Australia's mass-produced box wines.
