Hentley Farm is a boutique, single estate vineyard that focuses on producing premium quality single-estate and single-block wines reflective of their exceptional Barossa terrior. This Shiraz has dried cherry and boysenberry, aniseed, seasoned with dried herb and a little spice. Medium to full bodied, fresh and juicy, with subtle bitterness tempering the sweet ripe fruit.
Gold Medal Winner at Royal Sydney Wine Show 2017 and Royal Queensland Wine Show 2019. Rated 93/100 by James Halliday

1 x 2017 Elephant in the Room "Mammoth" Cabernet: Limestone Coast

Elephant in the Room wines are made by legendary winemaker Corey Ryan (ex-Henschke). They have quickly become hugely popular in Australia and offer exceptional quality and value.
A lifted and expressive nose of red berries, blackcurrants and distinct varietal tobacco leaf and forest floor. The palate is fruit-driven and vibrant with an open and approachable core of supple berried fruits, plums and cassis building to a ripe and mouth-filling back palate. Again classic varietal leafy notes and fine tannins provide an authentic Cabernet taste profile with bright acidity and fine tannins provide definition to the long finish.
    Rated 90/100 by Wine Orbit.

1 x 2016 Penfolds Koonunga Hill Shiraz Cabernet: South Australia

Penfolds has been producing remarkable wines since 1844 and indisputably led the development of Australian fine wine in the modern era.
Launched in 1976, Koonunga Hill has established an incredible reputation for value for money and consistency of quality. A blend of 65% Shiraz and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, lively red-berried fruits leap with pomegranate and olive nuances. A balanced, rich palate, with ripe red plums and some darker berries. Grainy, softened tannins and bright acidity delivering plenty of flavour and depth.
    Rated 92/100 by James Suckling.

    Variety Description

    Syrah/Shiraz

Syrah (also known as Shiraz) is a dark-skinned grape variety grown throughout the world and used primarily to produce red wine. The style and flavour profile of wines made from Syrah is influenced by the climate where the grapes are grown with moderate climates (such as the northern Rhone Valley) tending to produce medium to full-bodied wines with medium to high levels of tannins and flavours of blackberry, mint and black pepper notes. In hot climates (such as the Barossa Valley of Australia), Syrah is more consistently full-bodied with softer tannin, jammier fruit and spice notes of liquorice, anise and earthy leather. In many regions the acidity and tannin levels of Syrah allows to have favorable aging potential

    Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the world's most widely recognized red wine grape varieties. It is grown in nearly every major wine producing country among a diverse spectrum of climate. Cabernet Sauvignon became internationally recognized through its prominence in Bordeaux wines where it is often blended with Merlot and Cabernet Franc. South Australia, Western Australia & California in the USA have become well-known for their Cabernet Sauvignon wines. The classic profile of Cabernet Sauvignon tends to be full-bodied wines with high tannins and noticeable acidity that contributes to the wine's aging potential.
