    Description

Viña Ventisquero was founded in the late 1990s by Gonzalo Vial and has quickly gone on to become one of the countries top wine producers. With a winery based in the coastal Maipo Valley the estate sources grapes from the prestigious Casablanca, Leyda, Colchagua and Apalta Valley regions to produce a range of sought-after, awardwinning wines. Young, dynamic and innovative, the wines of Viña Ventisquero provide a captivating glimpse into the diversity of terroirs of this exciting wine nation.
Tropical fruit aromas with hints of vanilla and dried fruit. The mouth displays delicious acidity typical of the Casablanca valley, which makes it the perfect accompaniment for shellfish.

    Variety Description

    Chardonnay

Chardonnay is a green-skinned grape variety used to make white wine. It originated in the Burgundy wine region of eastern France but is now grown wherever wine is produced, from England to New Zealand. The Chardonnay grape itself is very neutral, with many of the flavours commonly associated with the grape being derived from such influences as terroir and oak. It is vinified in many different styles, from the lean, crisply mineral wines of Chablis, France to New World wines with oak, and tropical fruit flavours.

    Region Description

    Casablanca Valley

Casablanca Valley is a wine-growing region of Chile, located 100 kilometers north-west of the country's capital, Santiago. It is best known for its crisp white wines, most notably made from the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay grape varieties which have gained it recognition as one of Chile's quality wine regions. It has attracted considerable investment from wine companies based in other Chilean regions who were looking to boost their white wine portfolio, and from abroad. Pinot Noir, which is responsive to the cooler climates found in this coastal area, is also grown with some success.
